Kanso House is located in New York, USA and was designed by Yana Prydalna. The client wanted peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle, and the design team used natural materials and even some primitive natural objects to create a secluded and cozy rural vacation home.
YanaPrydalna has designed the entire house using natural materials, elements and textures to create a comfortable and unique living space. The house has wild textures and natural patterns inspired by wabi-sabi and combined with rugged elements of Americana, choosing natural materials without bright colors, shedding the glamorous veneer and appearing in its true and original form with unexpected harmony and texture.
YanaPrydalna's seemingly random design integrates nature, and the dining room's original wooden tables and chairs and even rattan lamps all exude a natural atmosphere, creating a casual and relaxed rhythm of slow living. The subtlety and roughness of the kitchen are mirrored to create a layered sense of space. The house does not look monotonous because the texture is too rich, giving a warmth of the years. The spontaneous design of the bathroom expresses that life need not be bound by gorgeous lines, but simplicity and simplicity are the essence.
