如同电影《沙丘》演绎的“末日废土风”，当人类拥有了最先进的科技，但生存环境却早已如同工业废墟，只能寻求虚拟世界中的乌托邦。与数百年前相同的，唯有抬头的那一刻，透过稀薄的大气层，依然能看到明亮的月亮。
The wasteland-style, as showcased in the movie Dune, indicates a philosophical paradox that even though mankind has developed the most advanced technology, the only thing we can do in the industrial ruins is to seek for the Utopia in the virtual world. And the only thing we share with people hundreds of years ago, is the bright moon behind the meager atmosphere hanging above the sky.
近期由现象设计完成的LinkedTown Coffee联庄咖啡在杭州落成。现象设计在保留场地原生条件的基础上，以“低剂量”的理念对场地进行设计干预，将回收家具与数字艺术结合完成了一系列实验性艺术装置，创造出咖啡“废土美学”在场体验。
LinkedTown Coffee, projected by XianXiangDesign, has been completed in Hangzhou. With the principle of “low-dose” in mind, XianXiangDesign kept the original layout of the site and transformed recycled furniture and digital arts into experimental artworks as wasteland-style decorations for the cafe.

咖啡店的废土美学
Wasteland-style Cafe
“在咖啡店极度内卷的杭州，新品牌如何定位？设计如何赋能品牌杀出重围?”经过与业主的多次研讨，我们决定用破旧环保再生的废土风和顶级咖啡设备，打造出一家有别于市面上其他咖啡店，具有区域市场差异化和冲突感的全新咖啡品牌。”
“Hangzhou is crowded with cafes, so the problem is how to empower a cafe brand with design to make it stand out? After a few rounds of discussions with the owner, we chose the shabby but eco-friendly wasteland-style along with recycled furniture and top-notch coffee equipment for the new cafe brand. It is much different from other competitors on the market for its niche positioning and resonance aroused by the ambivalence.”

“低剂量”设计，即，隐去明显的设计手法减少设计的存在感，让场地自带一种不经意的垮感—粗粝与科技并存，在满足店铺营业需求的同时达到再生可持续的意义。这一全新命题带给现象设计对于年轻业态的零售店铺设计有很多新的启发，驱动设计师做了很多大胆的尝试。
The “low-dose” principle refers to the technique of “less is more” in design. In other words, obvious traces of design are hidden to highlight the unintentional decadence of the site, combining ruggedness with high-tech. Such atmosphere will help meet the business demand and further reflects the value of sustainability. As a result, the brand-new concept has inspired XianXiangDesignt to try something bold that will make a difference to the structure of young-oriented retail stores.

店铺的外立面，在形体上与建筑弧型玻璃幕墙保持了弧线的一致，在形式上则舍弃了传统店铺精致的霓虹灯招牌，转而在低廉的防水雨布上使用街头涂鸦形式书写店标。
The external design maintains the original arc glass curtain wall, shrouded by the cheap water-proof cloth with the cafe name drawn in graffiti to replace the traditional exquisite neon-light signs.

咖啡店半户外的沿街空间具有“过渡”和“连接”作用，空间的中央放着一座由砖块旧电视构成的装置，屏幕里影像迷离，充满了末日破败的机能感。
The semi-outdoor space along the street serves as a transition, where an art device made of bricks and old television is placed in the center. The blurred image on the screen brims with despair in doom.

咖啡吧台足有6米的跨度，经由两个承重4000kg的举升机改造而成；空间整体氛围应循着冷金属色与灰色所带来的机能感，充满想象力的家具改造与数字艺术是空间的重要组成部分。
The six-meter wide coffee bar is renovated from two lifting machines with a bearing of 4,000 kg. The cold machines adds a tinge of metal gray to the space, and imaginative furniture renovation like this is a vital part of the design, coupled with digital arts.

咖啡吧台后方视频由艺术家崔绍翰创作的数字影像作品《50个月亮》，这组作品基于月球形态的变化和浩瀚宇宙的结合，创造了一个无限能量磁场的想象空间。多重现实下变幻的跃动星球，使我们感受到想象力和创造力的多元碰撞。
The screens behind the bar are playing Fifty Moons, a digital video produced by artist Cui Shaohan. It fashions a space of imagination with countless energy, a mix of the dynamic moon and boundless universe. The variable yet lively planet existing in multiple realities presents the clash of imagination and creativity to the audience.

低剂量设计，再生可持续
Low-dose, Low Waste
现象设计实验性的解构、破坏、拼接着材料，以艺术而浪漫的方式创造出符合空间氛围的新家具。
从旧货市场淘来的破损椅子被嵌入墨绿色亚克力及套上了加固用的金属凳脚，破椅子得到进化重生；旧音箱包裹着物流剩下的编织袋，上面快递单似乎在提醒观者它来的历程……
By means of experimental deconstruction, destruction and patching, XianXiangDesign created the new furniture that suit the wasteland-style atmosphere in an artistic and romantic manner.
Broken chairs collected from flea market are embedded with a dark green acrylic plate or reinforced with a metal leg, thus taking a new shape. A used soundbox stands, wrapped with a woven bag left from logistics, and the delivery sheet on the bag seems to be a display of its history to the visitors.

空间的墙面与地面在拆除了原始店铺的饰面后，直接使用斑驳的基层做表皮；遗留的水笔字迹记录了项目的建造过程。
Removed from original decoration, the mottled walls and floors become the new decoration. The writings left on the surface witnessed the entire construction.
