Health and wellness have become more holistic in recent years, encompassing both body and mind. Melbourne-based Insight Psychology had a vision to evolve its practice into a more integrative experience with psychology and mindful movement to inspire and empower positive change. We designed the interior and branding for the newly named Insight Body and Mind to reflect this evolution and holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

Insight offers clients a sensory and transcendental spatial experience, from the consulting rooms on the ground floor, to the movement studios on the first and second floors. The branding, interiors and services are seamless, meaningful and integrated, with light-filled spaces, sculpted curved forms and graphic stone surfaces evoking flow, energy and life. This unified approach and distinctive concept has produced a strong identity for Insight and differentiation of its offering.

设计以富有层次的颜色和材料叙事代表了公司业务中重叠的两大元素,然后通过三层过渡,逐渐为人们带来感官和触觉上的体验。项目由两种互不相同但又相互融合的配色组成,分别代表心理和运动。专业而朴素的深青色代表一层的心理实践,包括接待区、等候区和咨询室;桃色被运用在一层的垫上Pilates、瑜伽和舞蹈,以及二层的塑形Pilates等运动工作室中,给人以温暖、人性化和宁静的感受。多变的渐变纹理连接青色和桃色,将心理和健康实践融合在一起,统合身心,象征运动和过渡。
We designed a layered colour and material narrative to represent the two overlapping elements of the business, and to transition through the three levels, gradually lightening and providing a sensory and tactile experience. The colour palette comprises two distinct yet integrated colour schemes to represent psychology and movement, respectively. Deep teal tones are professional and earthy to represent the psychology practice on the ground floor (reception, waiting area, consulting rooms), while peach tones infuse the movement studios (mat Pilates, yoga and barre on first floor and reformer Pilates on second floor) with a sense of warmth, humanness and serenity. A dynamic gradient texture combining teal and peach merges the psychology and wellness practices, uniting body and mind, and symbolising movement and transition.

一层空间中,中灰色的石膏墙面为丰富的青绿色和令人印象深刻的Cipollino Ondulato Rosso石材装饰提供了一张柔和的幕布。接待台、卫生洁具和厨房中多变的石材纹理体现了流淌与运动,唤起了人们对于海床的记忆。Fibonacci Pavlova水磨石地面、Karaman Pink石材制成的柜台以及威尼斯石膏墙面为二层空间注入了桃色和三文鱼色。设计使用“palladiana水磨石”马赛克技术,巧妙地强调并体现了空间中产生的运动和流动。
On the ground floor, mid-grey venetian plaster walls provide a subdued backdrop to the rich teals and greens and to the striking Cipollino Ondulato Rosso stone. The dynamic veining of the stone on the reception counter, bathroom vanities and kitchen represents flow and movement, and is evocative of the ocean floor. Peach and salmon tones are infused into the first-floor spaces through the Fibonacci Pavlova terrazzo floor, Karaman Pink stone counter and venetian plaster walls. On the second floor, softer tones of pale shells are paired with a Fibonacci Softshell terrazzo floor. We used the ‘palladiana terrazzo’ mosaic technique in the studios to subtly emphasise and reflect the movement and flow that takes places in these spaces.

Insight新的品牌形象贯穿整个室内,为空间增添了几分个性化且专业的感觉。品牌logo中的“g”代表身体,成为了所有标志中的核心元素。它定义了支持字体和图标排版,以极简的圆形创造出简洁现代的品牌特征,并被运用在了所有商业和运营物料之中,如信纸、网站、社交媒体、商品、设备等等。霓虹标志和印花通过充满灵感且方便记忆的信息,进一步强化了公司品牌。带有品牌标记的商品,包括饮水瓶、运动装备和服饰,扩展了品牌认知,在工作室之外建立起了一种归属感。。
Insight’s new branding is cohesive and integrated throughout the interior, and adds a personal and professional touch. We designed the ‘g’ in the logotype to represent the body, and used the icon as the core element for all branding and signage. It defined the supporting typography and icon set, with minimalist circular forms creating a clean and modern brand identity that is continued through all business and marketing collateral (stationery, website, social media, merchandising, equipment, plus more). Neon signage and decals reinforce the brand with memorable, inspiring messages throughout the interior. Branded merchandise, including drink bottles, workout equipment and apparel, extends the brand awareness and sense of community outside the studio.
