Studio Anne Holtrop is an architecture and interior design Studio based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, founded by founder Anne Holtrop. Originally an artist's assistant, Anne Holtrop is known for her designs, whether permanent buildings or temporary installations, incorporating abstract, unexpected reference elements into their designs to capture the imagination of visitors.

Anne Holtrop graduated magna cum laude from the Amsterdam School of Architecture in 2005 and currently lives in Amsterdam and Bahrain where his work ranges from modelling to temporary Spaces and architecture. Anne Holtrop opened a second studio in Bahrain in 2016 and is currently designing and building the Sheikh Isa Bin Ali al-Khalifa Museum, the Siyadi Pearl Museum, Murad boutique Hotel and Garden House. Studio Anne Holtrop has collaborated with art director John Galliano on a new retail logo for Maison Margiela.

Anne Holtrop firmly believes that things can always be re-examined and re-interpreted, and that they can also be seen as architecture. They don't come from trying to solve problems -- they are specific and autonomous. By incorporating them into the building, and then discovering what kind of space they can create. That's why Anne Holtrop calls it 'Possible Architecture' : in a sense, everything could become Architecture. At the same time, the architects wanted the work to remain authentic.

Studio Anne Holtrop is more concerned with the architecture itself, and for them, they don't like concrete or conceptual work. On the design level, in order not to make the design too complicated, it is given a specific role, when walking through the building, you realize that it is a whole. For Anne Holtrop, that's why it's crucial to make aspects of work independent of its function -- things that people can't rationally explain, so they have to be emotionally invested in.
