As the end of the traditional axis sequence of Fuzhou ancient city, Yantai Mountain area bears the commercial history of Fuzhou in modern times. As the product of the blending of Chinese and western cultures, it bears witness to the important moment of urban development and transformation.

斑驳外墙，红瓦屋顶，福州烟台山依然保存着中西风情的城市肌理、传统街巷、空间形态与历史建筑。设计师张耀天通过保留原有建筑形式，融入现代设计手法，以「中西合璧，新旧共存」的设计理念就相关区位进行针对性的立面改造、景观提升、业态升级，并结合景观环境与商业包装形成一主街、双环线、三组团、九巷道漫步式空间游逛格局，力图唤醒胡同街巷空间的生机与活力。 Mottled exterior walls, red tile roofs, and Yantai Mountain in Fuzhou still preserve the Chinese and western style of urban texture, traditional streets and lanes, spatial form and historical buildings.
