Sustainable Australian clothing brand Viktoria & Woods’ new Doncaster boutique was designed by local firm GOLDEN as a physical manifestation of the contemporary brand’s DNA.

What makes the location unique is that Westfield Doncaster, where the boutique is located, is a top-class shopping destination. It attracts a diverse demographic with tenants including a high-end day spa, champagne bar, cinemas and more than 400 stores.

Having designed the Mosman store, Golden Design already had a comprehensive understanding of the Viktoria & Woods’ DNA and wanted to create an environment that reflects and conveys the honesty of the brand. Hallmarks of their approach to fashion design are reflected in a timeless interior that’s grounded in textured minimalism and a commitment to artisanal craft.

In harmony with the intimacy of its village streetscape location and the surrounding harbour side views, the design of Viktoria & Woods Mosman successfully elevates the retail experience by marrying brand ethos with local authenticity. Angular lines and curved fluidity are highlighted with a variation in textural elements against a recessive colour palette. Enduring design – enriched by natural materials and carefully sourced, locally produced furnishings – mimicks the relaxed movement of luxurious yet sustainable textiles paired with precision tailoring. Imagined for seamless customer journey and brand experience, Golden’s considered curation results in a spatial manifestation of what it feels like to wear Viktoria & Woods.
