It’s been just about a week since the first set of residents started moving into Extell’s luxe East Village rental now dubbed “East Village’s Greatest Building,” Curbed had a chance to tour the cushy rental earlier this week as Extell puts the finishing touches on its development. The project is comprised of three distinct structures. The first two are connected and have a main entrance at 510 East 14th Street. The structure at the rear of this building will also have an entrance on East 13th Street. The third structure is located further toward Avenue B, at 520 East 14th Street, and will open sometime later this year. Curbed’s tour was focused on the largest structure at 510 East 14th Street, and as part of the tour we got to see some of the building’s model apartments and its plethora of amenities. Apartments at EVGB are offered in two distinct finishes—light and dark—but what they do share in common are the condo-like appliance packages and home fixtures. The kitchens here have a host of Miele appliances and wood-paneled cabinetry, including a wood-paneled refrigerator that blends in perfectly with the cabinets. The bathrooms have Porcelanosa tile, Waterworks nickel fittings, and large medicine cabinets. |
