Z Lab is an interior design studio based in Seoul, South Korea, founded in 2014 by founders Noh Kyung Rok, Park Jung Hyun and Lee Sang Muk. Z Lab is a design team that aims to create a communication based on place and space, and an emotional space that reflects the wishes and will of the individual. The studio had to strike a balance between personal desire and regional universality in terms of design and regional identity. In this case, they created a new experience through space and personalized lifestyle branding.
JANWOL
朴素与静谧
Myeongwol-ri是济州岛村庄中具有特殊意义的村庄。这是在村口留下的明月城池、明月台和400~500年树龄的朴树群的历史遗迹。Janwol 是尊重Myeongwol-ri的特殊环境，延续学者文化的特别优雅的空间。
Myeongwol-ri is a village with a special meaning among villages in Jeju. It is a historic place where Myeongwolseongji and Myeongwoldae are left together with a colony of hackberry 400~500 years old from the entrance of the village. Janwol was planned as a space of special elegance that respects the special environment of Myungwol-ri and continues the culture of scholars.
这里自然生长着朴树、茶花等高大的树木。在济州岛，石墙环绕的环境自然地以非结构化的形式出现，从村庄入口到这个地方的自然顺序，以及与周围私人住宅的和谐创造了建筑的形状和屋顶的流动。场地中的大树是Janwol项目最重要的设计方向。在道路的一侧，在宽阔的屋顶下，在室外空间感受月亮的风景、风、树。两间乡村大小的卧室被设计成低视线和深色的宁静空间，并通过天窗聚焦于大树的绿色。
There were quite large trees such as hackberry and camellia that were growing naturally on the site. The environment surrounded by stone walls in Jeju naturally took place in the unstructured form of the land, and the natural sequence coming from the village entrance to this place and the harmony with the surrounding private houses created the shape of the building and the flow of the roof. The large tree in the site is the most important design direction of the Janwol project. On one side of the road, it was planned to feel the scenery, wind, and trees of the still moon in an outdoor space under a wide roof. The two rustic-sized bedrooms are designed to induce a sense of calm space with low gaze and dark colors, and to focus on the greenery of large trees through the skylight.
在Janwol，可以一起享受的特别的东西是位于建筑最内部的水疗空间。从令人放松的浴缸和碳化木蒸桑拿，来访者可以看到一个设计精致的小花园，只有在水疗中心才能享受。花园被一堵临时的墙包围着，享受着完全的隐私，绿色的朴树挂在上面，创造了一个小而完美的特色。
The special thing that can be enjoyed together at Janwol is the spa space located at the innermost part of the building. From the relaxing bathtub and the sauna finished with carbonized wood, you can see a small garden with a delicate design that can only be enjoyed in a spa. The garden is surrounded by a temporary wall and enjoys complete privacy, with the green hackberry hanging over it, creating a small but perfect specialness.
ANOK
舒适的归园
这个位于济州岛海边村庄一座命名为“ANOK”的石头房子，长期保护着大海不受风的侵袭。“ANOK”的名字来自济州岛方言“Anokhada”，具有舒适的含义，旨在保存海边小村那些石头房子的简单和温暖记忆，这里曾是许多居住过的人的家。This stone house named ANOK in a seaside village on Jeju Island has long protected the sea from the wind. The name "ANOK," which comes from The Jeju dialect of "Anokhada," means comfortable and aims to preserve the simplicity and warm memories of the stone houses of the seaside village that were once home to many of the people who lived there.
通过厚重的混凝土大门，将看到潮湿而粗糙的室外花园，这标志着私人休息空间的开始。在两栋建筑中，包括餐厅和休息室在内的空间，它们由旧木地板和黄土制成的粗糙墙壁构成，以提醒访客将有各种体验，在这里来访者可以感受到“Anok”的温暖和长久的记忆。The moist and rough textured outdoor garden that people will encounter through the large and heavy concrete gate marks the beginning of a private space of rest. Among the two buildings, the space including the dining and lounge was made of old wood floors and rough walls made of loess to induce a variety of experiences where the visitors can feel the warmth and long memories of 'Anok'.
水疗设施和卧室结构的设计，其特点在于添置了由天然石材制成的浴缸和碳化木材的桑拿浴室，这使访客可以从中取暖，并通过窗户在室外的混凝土长凳上用橡木柴火度过温暖的时光。尤其希望通过细致的规划，从空间体验到与空间相协调的香味、Sochang面料柔软的质感面料、由亚麻布和韩纸，以及充满艺术家具的空间。The design of the spa and bedroom structure allows visitors to warm themselves in an indoor bathtub made of natural stone and a carbonized wood sauna, and spend warm hours on an oak wood fire on an outdoor concrete bench through the Windows. In particular, I hope that through careful planning, I can experience the space from the fragrance that harmonizes with the space, the soft texture of Sochang fabric, the space filled with linen and Korean paper, and the art furniture.
