Positioned atthe edge of the expansive Studley Park of the Kew City in Melbourne, Oakwood isa 17-residence development designed with downsizers in mind. The high-endaddress is home to two and three-bedroom abodes with upper levels that lookacross a treed expanse and out to Melbourne’s skyline. Fresh and light spaceshave been created to feature natural stone and timber finishes. Oakwood bearsthe charms of character, chiefly a cantilever theme that begins in thearchitecture and is followed into the kitchens with the structure of the islandbenches, and with the soft curves that delicately open rooms to bring in morenatural light.

Located on theMornington Peninsula in Main Ridge Seal Rock is a newly built single level homeset amidst a sprawling landscape of avocado trees, rolling hills and aconglomeration of kangaroos. The brief of Mim Design from their client was tocreate a “winter family home”. From planning through to concept, documentationand furniture procurement, our role encompassed a fantastic collaboration withthe builder and the client, delivering a highly detailed and uniquelyAustralian home. Upon entry each space is beautifully connected to each other,as well as extraordinary views out to a carefully curated landscape.
Coastal Pavilion

Situated near arocky back beach in Sorrento, Naples, Italy, the ‘Coastal Pavilion’ is a newresidence which references the seaside landscape through the use of rawelements and materials. A relaxed coastal lifestyle is paired with urbanminimalism, creating a tranquil, tactile home. Indoor-outdoor transitions flowseamlessly with continuity, defined by expansive glazed sliding walls.Featuring pared-down forms that cascade with the landscape, the mid-centurystyle pavilion offers functional comfort and elegance in living, whilst a touchof rusticity in the material palette refers back to the historical Europeanroots of the area.
BPB Residence

Located inCronulla, a suburb south of Sydney, Australia, and adjacent to Gunnamatta bayand sailing club, a house designed by Mim Design. The house is inspired bymid-century modernism, a collaboration between Mim Design and Vitale Design.

This cool andrestful home is anchored by a simple yet flexible floorplan and robustmaterials. Honed limestone floors and polished plaster walls wrap the livingspaces, and lining board on the ceilings play up the mid-century theme. Theconcave kitchen island and the gentle inverted curve of the fireplace softensthe rigidity of the stone, while timber batten details interrupt expanses ofmarble in the bathrooms.
