Harry Nuriev grew up in a verysimple family, in a small city, his father is a handyman, his mother is a homemaker, and he have two younger sisters who both still live there. Nurievhas lots of warm memories from his childhood that he use in his work every day.The colors he use for example, come from his childhood.

Nuriev's design was inspired byhis grandmother's outfits. He was always around his grandmother, tugging on herskirt. She wore these funky mismatching colors. Some were super ugly, andothers were bright and quite nice. Also, architecture. Russian architecture isvery grey, but in small Russian villages super vivid shades of green and pinkare popular. These vintage pictures of his childhood have become his references.
