Edward Mitterrand and Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand have been operating galleries in Paris for decades. Jean-Gabriel Mitterrand:“I wanted this house to be absorbed by the sky, to ground it,and provide a more modern provencal identity.”

For this renovation,India Mahdavi coated the Facade with silver paint,allowing it to glisten as an olive leaf under the sun.The Villa was strecthed into the landscape in order to anchor it on a space overlooking the park.

The cement Bisazza tiles,designed by India Mahdavi,and the punctuation of the space with arches magnifies the graphical strength of the Villa“I like mixing simple materials to more luxurious ones,it gives a certain depth to objects,and a strong personality. !”India Mahdavi said.

India Mahdavi has done a great job with the graphic geometric elements of the tiles on the floor, the fitted wardrobes and on the terrace. She has given the house nobility and the elegance of the extravagant. And the graphic elements complement perfectly with the landscape and the art that you can see there.
