The project is located in Tianhe District, Guangzhou. It is an old government flat with a 146-square-meter building size and a shear wall structure. The owner of this case is a self-sufficient woman. Her own spontaneous personality has a significant impact on the ultimate outcome of this work.
140平的独居生活，在接受业主委托，了解业主情况后，我们首先的意识是如何让这个140平的空间简单化，既符合女性的审美，又可以最大程度满足业主在空间中的自由。
140 square meters of solitude. After accepting the owner's commission and comprehending the owner's position, our initial thought was to simplify this 140 square meters area so that it could meet the aesthetics of women while also satisfying the owner's independence in the space to the greatest extent possible.
设计的重点是为业主呈现一套通透 舒服 自由的空间。和业主的价值观一致，我们认为过多的“设计”和造型只会为被其所累，并不会产生什么价值。那空间中最最最基础的感受，就是我们要放大的重点。
The goal of the design was to provide the homeowner with an open, airy, and free area. In keeping with the owner's principles, we feel that too much "design" and styling will be a burden rather than a source of value. Then, the emphasis we want to enhance is the most fundamental sensation in the environment.
最终敲定的方案中，公共区域的软装搭配，也是配合整体空间基础简约的调性做一些戏剧性的冲突，浅色基底的构筑形式，深颜色的烹饪区、静谧安静的休憩区组合在一起，为业主呈现一间名为自由的房子。
The soft furnishings of the public area are matched with the general minimalist tone of the space in the completed concept to create some striking conflicts. The light-colored foundation construction form, dark-colored cooking space, and peaceful and quiet sitting room are all united to give the owner with a residence dubbed freedom.
