经幡
Prayer Flags
藏族人相信，
风每吹动一次经幡，等于念诵一次经文，
将虔诚祝福飘向无尽的远方。
家里人会为外出的游子挂经幡，
经幡上写上被祝福者的名字，
祈愿旅途平安，万事顺遂…
外出许久的人们回到家乡，
也会前往神山挂上经幡，
告诉神山：我回来了。
Tibetans believe that,
Every time the wind blows the sutra streamer, it is equivalent to reciting a sutra,
The blessings of devotion will float to endless distances.
Families hang sutra streamers for their wanderers,
The name of the person to be blessed is written on the streamer,
Praying for their safe journey and all things go well…
When people who have been away for a long time return home,
They will also go to the sacred mountain to hang the sutra streamers
To tell the mountain: I’m back.

The hotel complex is set against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains and in the middle of a pristine forest. Surrounded by mountains, trees and rivers, the hotel has a world-class, avant-garde architectural form, allowing guests to enjoy the high-class hardware while immersing themselves in the blue sky and white clouds and forest through the transparent, all-glass roofed building known as “Disappeared Architecture”. The forest villa is located on a mountainous terrain, offering guests a breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains and meadows in front of them. The 10,000-square-meter lobby with steel arch frame and transparent glass structure, the 10,000-square-meter hot spring center, conference center, various restaurants, bars and ancient Qiang Village are combined together like a flower petal floating down in the forest. (Intercontinental Resort Jiuzhai Paradise has been awarded “China’s Top Ten Most Popular Resort Hotels” for two consecutive years, and has received the “Golden Pillow” award, and has passed the “Green Globe 21” hotel certification)

酒店于2003年开业，在当时是亚洲最大的洲际酒店，在2007年初，九寨天堂洲际大饭店又斥资四千五百万，对其内部进行重新装修，并在酒店大堂增设了环保地热供暖系统。整套系统环保效益显著、无燃烧、无排烟及废弃物、清洁无污染，为游客提供了更为清新的空气质量。酒店建筑面积15万平方米，集会议、餐饮、娱乐、度假、休闲、养生、购物、住宿为一体。整个建筑背靠群山，掩映在原始森林中，集中诠释了“消失的建筑”这一理念。
Opened in 2003, the hotel was the largest intercontinental hotel in Asia at the time. In early 2007, Intercontinental Resort Jiuzhai Paradise spent another RMB 45 million to redecorate its interior and add an environmentally friendly geothermal heating system to the hotel lobby. The whole system has significant environmental benefits, no combustion, no smoke and waste, and no pollution, providing visitors with fresher air quality. The hotel has a construction area of 150,000 square meters, with multiple functions such as conference, catering, entertainment, vacation, leisure, health care, shopping and accommodation. The whole building is backed by mountains and located in the primitive forest, interpreting the concept of “Disappearing Architecture”.

Remembrance
离乡数载几时还，蓦然回首。
那一刻，阿妈拉饱经风霜的双手升起风马，
只为祈福我的平安归来。
那一天，我策马在缭绕的云雾中，
慕然听见阿妈拉沧沧的诵经真言。
那一夜，我听了一宵梵唱，
不为参悟，
只为等你(九寨)的一丝气息。
纵使高原，
吹不散的是那执着的声音。
那声音也曾无数次向我诉说，
那神鹰的故事使我学会了坚强，
勇往直前…
I can’t help but look back on the past when I have been away from home for several years.
At that moment, my mother’s rough hands raised the religious flag
To pray for my safe return.
On that day, I rode my horse through the dazzling clouds and mist,
I suddenly heard my mother’s mournful voice chanting scriptures.
That night, I listened to the chanting all night long,
Not for the sake of enlightenment,
I only waited for a hint of you (Jiuzhai).
Even the plateau,
Can not blow away the persistent voice.
That voice has also told me many things countless times.
The story of the divine eagle has taught me to be strong and brave…

藏式陈设柜，精雕细琢的门拉手。天然质感薄石材墙营造空间序列感。天然质感薄石材墙、藏式边玛墙融合艺术画廊。GYD 以当代美学视角审视地域文化，将“当代性”、“藏式文化”、“艺术性”共融、共生，打造极具民族特色的藏羌博物馆。艺术大堂入口处摆放着建造酒店地基时挖出来的漂砾石。大堂休息区布置在景色最好的区域，这里被自然森林所环抱，不同的时节可感受不同的风景。
Tibetan-style furnishing cabinet with finely carved door pulls. Natural texture thin stone wall creates a sense of spatial sequence. The art gallery is a fusion of thin natural stone wall and Tibetan Bianma wall. GYD examines the regional culture from the perspective of contemporary aesthetics, and creates a Tibetan and Qiang museum with ethnic characteristics by integrating and symbioticizing “contemporary”, “Tibetan culture” and “artistry”. At the entrance of the art lobby, there are drift stones excavated during the construction of the hotel foundation. The lobby lounge area is located in the area with the best view, which is surrounded by natural forest, so you can experience different scenery at different seasons.

遥远的忧伤，
穿过千山万水，
月光下的高原，
嫩恩桑措(藏语，意为神仙池)的水，
依旧历历在目。
The distant sorrow
Across a thousand mountains and rivers,
The plateau under the moonlight,
The water of the divine pool,
still vivid in my mind.

朝圣之路
Pilgrimage Route
无数的夜晚，一道光铺成的路上，
匍匐在朝圣路上
通天的大经轮发出咕噜的声音，
走上山顶，双手合十，默默祈请，
突然一双智慧慈悲的佛眼从地平线升起，
发出耀眼的光芒——
穿越西部大草原，宏伟的布达拉宫，
眼前藏族的特色建筑，
远处晶莹闪亮的雪山，
以及拉萨的星空…
Countless nights, a path paved with light,
I prostrate myself on the pilgrimage path,
The great scripture wheel makes a gurgling sound,
I walk up to the top of the mountain, fold my hands and pray silently,
Suddenly a pair of wise and compassionate Buddha’s eyes rises from the horizon,
Emitting a dazzling light –
Across the western grasslands, the magnificent Potala Palace,
The characteristic architecture of the Tibetans,
The shining snow-capped mountains in the distance,
And the starry sky of Lhasa…

边玛墙、经典藏式窗户用现代手法解构重组，打造朝圣路上的圣殿。GYD特别采用吸光材料来描绘藏人心中的圣山，白天隐隐可见的圣山，等到夜幕降临，随着光线的变暗圣山会慢慢的散发出道道金光，增加朝圣的仪式感。
The wall of Bianma and the classic Tibetan windows are deconstructed and reorganized with modern techniques to create a sacred temple on the pilgrimage path. GYD uses special light-absorbing materials to depict the sacred mountain in the minds of Tibetans. The holy mountain is visible during the day, and when night falls, the mountain will slowly emit golden light as the daylight becomes darker, increasing the sense of ritual of pilgrimage.

云朵上的民族
Nation On Cloud
旧时的经幡，
仍记得远古的低唱，
不知该如何诠释这份虔诚，
唯有用朝圣的姿势，
去触摸诗句里的情与哀伤。
别问我该去哪里皈依，
本是一叶孤寂，
从哪来回哪去。
月亮照回湖心，
野鹤奔向闲云。
我步入你，
一场大雪便封住了世间万物。
The old time scripture streamers,
Still remembering the ancient whispered song.
I don’t know how to interpret this devotion,
I can only through the posture of pilgrimage,
To touch the love and sorrow in the verse.
Don’t ask me where I should go to convert.
I am a leaf of solitude,
I come from nowhere and go back to nowhere.
The moon shines back to the center of the lake,
The cranes run to the free clouds.
And I step into you,
A heavy snowfall seals all things in the world.

藏族对色彩的理解和运用是建立在青藏高原自然环境、生活习惯和对宗教的理解基础上，他们的祖先是游牧民族,祖先用智慧提炼出“红”（地表）、“黄”（空气）、“白”（太空）、“蓝”（蓝天）、“黑”(矿物）、“绿”（植物）等自然颜色；追求一种强烈的对比、和谐鲜明的色彩，以表示对大自然的征服感。
The Tibetan people’s understanding and use of color is based on the natural environment of the Tibetan plateau, their living habits and their understanding of religion. Their ancestors were nomads, and they used their wisdom to refine “red” (surface), “yellow” (air), “white” (space), “blue “(blue sky), “black” (minerals), “green” (plants) and other natural colors. This culture pursues a strong contrast, harmonious and vivid colors, to express the sense of conquest of nature.
