But there is growing discontent over new plans to build a huge island-style mansion that will block views to the east of the Sydney Opera House. Mark Hunter called it a "home like no other", while protesters called it a "den of evil". "This is an insult to the people of Sydney," said protester Rollo Piaf, who called for Ø House to become No House. If the plans are approved, the new Ø House will be one of the most forward-looking buildings in Australia.
