Laseu Studio had the privilege of designing the first American flagship store for Magnlens, a cutting-edge activewear brand. This gave the team a rare opportunity to establish a new design language that would establish the brand's identity. The store is situated in the upscale Westfield Century City shopping center in Los Angeles.

The goal for the store was to evoke an urban vibe that reflected Magnlens' energetic and functional aesthetic. The 1,600 square-foot space is divided into three equal parts, arranged in an open and symmetrical layout to maximize visibility of the sales floor. The centrally-located entrance is framed by a dark flooring and display fixtures, which contrast with the bright lightbox on the ceiling and create a forced perspective that draws the eye inward. The calmer, monochromatic spaces on either side provide a backdrop for the clothing to take center stage.

The interior design takes inspiration from the cityscape. The material palette draws on concrete and asphalt, while the illuminated graphics nod to the bustling advertising and signage of a downtown area. The stainless-steel fixtures are a modern interpretation of scaffolding and construction materials, and the lighting design mimics the rhythm of streetlights. Within Light Studio's lighting design complements the bold graphics and creates a dynamic yet inviting atmosphere throughout the store.
