Takashi Okuno--
Takashi Okuno Associates is a Japan-based architecture firm founded by founder Takashi Okuno in 2012. The project centers on Shikoku, Japan's Buddhist holy land, and focuses on creating a peaceful atmosphere by building a wood-frame building called Gendai Wafū, which is actually called "Modern Japanese architecture."
建筑师Takashi Okuno在东京跟随Boo-Woong Kim(Design Office Opposition)学习建筑设计。 Architect Takashi Okuno studied architectural Design with Boo-Woong Kim(Design Office Opposition) in Tokyo. Back in Matsuyama, Atelier A&A undertook the design of residences, a sushi restaurant, a hospital and a Japanese hotel. He was moved by the beauty of Sukiya-style architecture, a teahouse that embraced the simplicity of beauty, and began learning the art of tea ceremony. In addition to his professional work, Takashi Okuno continues to travel the world, mapping clients' measurements while on the road.
Takashi Okuno works with materials from nature -- mud, wood, bamboo and stone. One day, when it has completed its mission, the structure will be returned to Earth. People, architecture and nature are integrated together to feel the big universe in this small space. It makes people realize and feel that in this built environment, it is like a condensed world.
Takashi Okuno
Takashi Okuno's approach to design is to provide clients with a sense of what they can call "belonging, peace", even as the years pass. Under such buildings, it is good for people to live or coexist with them, to connect with the past and the future, and cherish the present at the same time.
